Chanel Chancing...

Today was very much a Sunday Funday, me and a gorgeous friend took to the streets of Bath and went for a little girlie treat shop. For months I have been pining after a new foundation, one perfect for summer, to suit my more tanned skin but also lightweight and fresh. In the world I was in, I felt like what I was asking was too much, until my friend introduced me to the Chanel Vitalumière Aqua Foundation

She described it to me as a 'light weight, glowy, velvet feeling foundation perfect for the summer' which was everything I desired. After much contemplation with myself, today I finally took a chance and caved and bought it (which excites me more than it should).

Chanel describe this foundation as 'soft with an evanescent ultra-fine fluid texture which is exceptionally delicate and light, offering an incomparable "second skin" perfecting result. It makes the complexion feel amazingly even, fresh and energised, glowing with seemingly nude beauty, as if lit from within'.

Reading that description excites me even more and confirms my friends description and shows that this foundation has the potential to be everything I want. On top of all this fabulousness, it has SPF15 making my skin protected in the (alarmingly) nice weather the UK is providing us with at the moment.

The one factor that may put some people off is the crystalline fragrance it has, Chanel say that it accentuates the sensation of freshness and pleasure on application, which from when the makeup artist tried it on my skin I would totally agree with and totally love!

I really can't wait to review this once I have properly used it and worn it for a few weeks and tested it on a long day and a night out!

PS. Chanel are currently giving away the cutest lip sample packages with samples of 5 new shades in with a little lip brush to apply...it made taking the chance on the foundation even more worth it.
