Mothers Day Treating

Mothers Day is one of my favourite days, a day to appreciate how much our mums do for all us children. Although I don't think we should appreciate our mums on just one day a year, one of my favourite things to do is spoil mine rotten!

This year for me and my mum has been really different as we haven't spent it together, which is the first time in my life this has happened. Whilst at university it wasn't possible for me to get home to see her, so I sent her a nice bunch of flowers in the post but also got her a little extra treat for when I see her in 2 weeks.

So I bought my lovely momma the Naked Basics 2 palette. My mum doesn't tend to do eyeshadow everyday but she does enjoy it when she has the time and she has recently been saying how she would love a little palette to be able to have in her bag or take away rather than lots of little eyeshadows. After doing some research I discovered the Naked Basic Palettes and thought they would be perfect seeing as the Naked Palette would probably be more than she was after.

The Palette has 6 shades which are completely versatile and could be used to create a smokey eye look, to fill in eyebrows and the lightest shade could even be used as a highlighter with the slight shimmer that it has to it. They also are the kind of shades which would suit any skin tone and would look great with a tan too (we are going on holiday in 2 weeks!). As well as the fabulous 6 full sized eyeshadows which ooze versatility, the size of the mirror in the palette is also fabulous and is perfect to have in your handbag for that purpose alone! The price of this palette is £23.00 which I think is an incredible price considering how much you get for you money. Urban Decay have really hit the nail on the head with this and heres hoping they bring out a Naked Basics 3 in the very near future!

Have you tried any of the Naked/Naked Basics Palettes and what do you think of them?
What is your favourite Urban Decay product?
