Mothers Day Treating

Mothers Day is one of my favourite days, a day to appreciate how much our mums do for all us children. Although I don't think we should appreciate our mums on just one day a year, one of my favourite things to do is spoil mine rotten!

This year for me and my mum has been really different as we haven't spent it together, which is the first time in my life this has happened. Whilst at university it wasn't possible for me to get home to see her, so I sent her a nice bunch of flowers in the post but also got her a little extra treat for when I see her in 2 weeks.

So I bought my lovely momma the Naked Basics 2 palette. My mum doesn't tend to do eyeshadow everyday but she does enjoy it when she has the time and she has recently been saying how she would love a little palette to be able to have in her bag or take away rather than lots of little eyeshadows. After doing some research I discovered the Naked Basic Palettes and thought they would be perfect seeing as the Naked Palette would probably be more than she was after.

The Palette has 6 shades which are completely versatile and could be used to create a smokey eye look, to fill in eyebrows and the lightest shade could even be used as a highlighter with the slight shimmer that it has to it. They also are the kind of shades which would suit any skin tone and would look great with a tan too (we are going on holiday in 2 weeks!). As well as the fabulous 6 full sized eyeshadows which ooze versatility, the size of the mirror in the palette is also fabulous and is perfect to have in your handbag for that purpose alone! The price of this palette is £23.00 which I think is an incredible price considering how much you get for you money. Urban Decay have really hit the nail on the head with this and heres hoping they bring out a Naked Basics 3 in the very near future!

Have you tried any of the Naked/Naked Basics Palettes and what do you think of them?
What is your favourite Urban Decay product?

That Curly Girl Gone Missing...?!

So as most of you wonderful followers can probably tell, I/That Curly Girl has been absent for quite some time, basically since September when I moved to University and my life changed and was taken over by all the challenges, fears, life changes and excitement that it brought with it. My life since September has been a complete roller-coaster, in a good and bad way and I have learnt so much and with all this as well as attempting to actually study every now and then (haha) my blog has got a bit lost.

Recently I have really been thinking about blogging and was debating just packing it all in, but then I thought about how hard I had worked to get it where it is now and to have such wonderful followers that I thought I really should try. So from this I have come to the conclusion that I am going to aim to write one blog post a week and have a guest blog post up each week too which means its not too much for me to do on top of my work, keeps my blog going and hopefully keeps you guys as my readers happy too!

I have a few ideas about posts, obviously beauty ones (my faves) and potentially some posts on University, outfits of the day/night and all those fun things!

As always if there are any posts you would like to see then I am more than happy to do them, just write them in a comment or drop me a tweet/email! As I mentioned before I also want to start my weekly guest blogger posts again, so if anyone is interested in doing that then please drop me an email and we can sort that out!

THANK YOU all for still (hopefully) wanting to read my blog and here is to rekindling That Curly Girl!

God Bless!
