Younique Flawless Four - First Impressions

Todays post is all about the Younique Flawless Four set. I have had this set for just over a week now and I couldn't wait to get on here and share my first impressions of this set.

The set costs £79 which initially sounds pricey, however you get a lot for your money! You get a full size Touch Glorious Face Primer which not in the set is £30, the Mineral Touch Liquid Foundation in a colour choice of your own, which again is normally £30, plus the Touch Mineral Skin Perfecting Concealer, normally £23 and finally the Liquid Foundation Brush normally £25 - this set with everything bought separately would cost £108, it really is an absolute steal!

The whole kit comes in 13 different shades which is amazing, something to suit every single beautiful  woman on the planet. (If you are interested in the kit but struggling with colour matching then send me an email or write a comment and I can support in finding your perfect match).

So onto my thoughts...the biggest thing I can say with every single one of these products is a little goes a long long way! I use a pea sized amount of the primer and that is more than enough to cover all of my face. It feels so silky smooth and luxurious and is a clear gel/creme so doesn't add or take any colour away from the face.  In terms of the foundation and concealer, I have found the best way to use the product is dotting 4 blobs of foundation around the edge of the liquid foundation brush using the pipette the foundation bottle comes with, and then in-between each dot of foundation an even smaller blob of the concealer, so basically the brush has 8 dots on the top of it round the edge (I hope that makes sense haha). I then dot it around my face so my face is covered with circles consisting of 8 dots (its a great look!) and then simply blenddddddd!

My skin looks absolutely flawless after using it, and I mean completely flawless, but I haven't caked layers of makeup on my face, and I can still see my skin which seems incredible! My makeup lasts all day even after a 9 hour shift, I still look like I did after I did my makeup in the morning and my god isn't that something all us ladies want?!

Safe to say I am in love and can see this being my holy grail kit for a very long time!

If you fancy trying this amazing set at this amazing price then follow this link to the Flawless Four page. I mean it is Easter Monday and if that doesn't call for a makeup treat then I don't know when does - plus this offer is only live until the end of April so make sure to snatch it up whilst you can!

If you have any questions about the kit or how it works etc, as I said feel free to comment or email me, I will be doing a post of me wearing the makeup very soon so you can see step by step how I do it, and see the results at the end of using it as well!

I'm Back, Younique & Updates!

Well, this is strange to be back on my little spot of the internet. It must have been about 2 years. Woah. Crazy.

If you want to know where I've been and what has consumed me over these past few years feel free to comment, but in the mean time I have a new venture I am excited to share with you.

I have joined a well known company called Younique, which allows me to follow a dream of mine and have my own makeup business! Younique is an incredible business which I am extremely proud to be a part of.

Younique has a mission to 'uplift, empower, validate and ultimately build self-esteem in women around the world through high-quality product that encourage both inner and outer beauty and spiritual enlightenment while also providing opportunities for personal growth and financial reward'.

To top off the amazing mission Younique has, the makeup is vegan and cruelty free meaning it reaches out to every single woman in every single situation and the high quality products invested into the makeup and skincare makes it a joy to put on your face each and every day.

The only thing is the cost is towards the higher end, however these products are an investment, they last a really long time as the old phrase of a little goes a long way is more than accurate for these products.

From now on my a lot of my blog content is going to detail a lot of Younique products in different looks I create, new products and reviews on what I'm using, along with how to's for products to ensure you are getting the most out of your new products.

I am so excited to be on this venture with an amazing company I am so proud to be working for, I hope you are excited too and if you want feel like joining and starting your own adventure, you can find out more here. I also have a party on my web page as well so take a look at all the amazing products being sold and amazing deals available!

Chanel Chancing...

Today was very much a Sunday Funday, me and a gorgeous friend took to the streets of Bath and went for a little girlie treat shop. For months I have been pining after a new foundation, one perfect for summer, to suit my more tanned skin but also lightweight and fresh. In the world I was in, I felt like what I was asking was too much, until my friend introduced me to the Chanel Vitalumière Aqua Foundation

She described it to me as a 'light weight, glowy, velvet feeling foundation perfect for the summer' which was everything I desired. After much contemplation with myself, today I finally took a chance and caved and bought it (which excites me more than it should).

Chanel describe this foundation as 'soft with an evanescent ultra-fine fluid texture which is exceptionally delicate and light, offering an incomparable "second skin" perfecting result. It makes the complexion feel amazingly even, fresh and energised, glowing with seemingly nude beauty, as if lit from within'.

Reading that description excites me even more and confirms my friends description and shows that this foundation has the potential to be everything I want. On top of all this fabulousness, it has SPF15 making my skin protected in the (alarmingly) nice weather the UK is providing us with at the moment.

The one factor that may put some people off is the crystalline fragrance it has, Chanel say that it accentuates the sensation of freshness and pleasure on application, which from when the makeup artist tried it on my skin I would totally agree with and totally love!

I really can't wait to review this once I have properly used it and worn it for a few weeks and tested it on a long day and a night out!

PS. Chanel are currently giving away the cutest lip sample packages with samples of 5 new shades in with a little lip brush to made taking the chance on the foundation even more worth it.

Mothers Day Treating

Mothers Day is one of my favourite days, a day to appreciate how much our mums do for all us children. Although I don't think we should appreciate our mums on just one day a year, one of my favourite things to do is spoil mine rotten!

This year for me and my mum has been really different as we haven't spent it together, which is the first time in my life this has happened. Whilst at university it wasn't possible for me to get home to see her, so I sent her a nice bunch of flowers in the post but also got her a little extra treat for when I see her in 2 weeks.

So I bought my lovely momma the Naked Basics 2 palette. My mum doesn't tend to do eyeshadow everyday but she does enjoy it when she has the time and she has recently been saying how she would love a little palette to be able to have in her bag or take away rather than lots of little eyeshadows. After doing some research I discovered the Naked Basic Palettes and thought they would be perfect seeing as the Naked Palette would probably be more than she was after.

The Palette has 6 shades which are completely versatile and could be used to create a smokey eye look, to fill in eyebrows and the lightest shade could even be used as a highlighter with the slight shimmer that it has to it. They also are the kind of shades which would suit any skin tone and would look great with a tan too (we are going on holiday in 2 weeks!). As well as the fabulous 6 full sized eyeshadows which ooze versatility, the size of the mirror in the palette is also fabulous and is perfect to have in your handbag for that purpose alone! The price of this palette is £23.00 which I think is an incredible price considering how much you get for you money. Urban Decay have really hit the nail on the head with this and heres hoping they bring out a Naked Basics 3 in the very near future!

Have you tried any of the Naked/Naked Basics Palettes and what do you think of them?
